but if we all pull together then the vaccination programme can lead us into a Spring dawn. We shall need to find still more help to see businesses, hosptality and entertainment through this and I still want to see prority given to vaccinations for teachers so that schools can get to work as soon as possible but I believe that the right decision has now been taken. Stay at home. Save the NHS. Save lives and we can get through the lockdown and begin to breathe again.

Tomorrow the Government will announce the local restrictions that we will follow from late next week. With Greg Clark, Damian Collins , Tracey Crouch , Sir Roger Gale , Helen Grant and Damian Green MP, we are asking for this to be on a Borough/District basis. The numbers in Kent vary significantly from one area to another. We must make sure that any restrictions are proportionate to each community.

Following on from my earlier statement, I have asked Number 10 to ensure that the message from seaside communities is heard. I would like the upcoming Government Briefings for the weekend to promote a revised message: “STAY LOCAL- CONTROL THE VIRUS- SAVE LIVES”

While we are working flat out to try to help people some April Idiot has found the time to vandalise our Birchington office windows - wasting time that we need to do our jobs. I am proud of my team. I hope those that did this are ashamed of their ill-targeted behaviour.
