I enjoy representing the whole of my constituency and would be sad to be separated from any part of it.

I am naturally pleased that Herne Bay will remain at the centre of the proposed new boundaries.

The boundary commission’s draft proposals are, however, exactly that and there will, of course, be much discussion before the new boundaries are finalised.

I shall most certainly be offering myself for re-election  but that is a matter between myself and my Conservative Association and as a courtesy to my Party I do not propose to make any further comment at this time.
