The attached link to an article, published following the Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation/Conservative Environment Network reception that I hosted at the House this week ,might be of interest.
Michael Gove`s remarks concerning animal welfare were hugely encouraging and, as I am correctly quoted as saying, the most impressive statement in relation to animal welfare that I have heard from any senior Minister of any party during my thirty-four years in Parliament. I truly believe that we are, at last, making real headway.
