Membership of the Privy Council

North Thanet`s MP, Sir Roger Gale, will be sworn in as a member of Her Majesty`s Privy Council at Buckingham Palace on the afternoon of Wednesday 13th February.
Sir Roger, whose appointment was announced in the New Year`s Honours list, says:
“ I regard this as a significant Parliamentary honour which will have the practical effect of allowing me to receive briefings on Privy Council (confidential) terms. That, in my capacity as Leader of the UK delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, will be of immense assistance in my work “.
